A

Aces: A bet on the next roll resulting in a 2.

Advantage: This is the edge that an online casino has over the player in any online casino game.

Any Craps: A bet on the next roll resulting in a 2, 3, or 12.

Any Seven: A bet on the next roll resulting in a 7.

B

Back Line: A term for the Don't Pass Line.

Bank: 1) A type of craps game: "Bank Craps" is a formal game of craps played in a real life or online casino. 2) A term for the casino itself.

Behind the Line: A bet on the Free Odds after the Come Out Roll and after the Point has been set.

Big Eight: This is an even money bet on the player shooting an 8 before a 7.

Big Six: This is an even money bet on the player shooting a 6 before a 7.

Big Red: This is a bet on any 7.

Boxcars: Shooting a 12.

Box Numbers: The boxes on the Craps table around 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10.

Buffalo: A bet on each Hardway and Any Seven.

Bring Out: This is a bet on the Hardway of a point to establish the Point.

Center Bets: These are proposition bets that are placed in the middle of the Craps table. For example: Hardway Bet and all 'one roll' bets.

Come Bet: This is similar to a Pass Line Bet on all rolls after the Come Out Roll.

Come-Out Roll: This is the first roll of a new game of Craps.

Craps: A term used for shooting a 2, 3, or 12 on the Come Out Roll.

Craps Out: A term used for shooting Craps on the Come Out Roll meaning an instant loss for all Pass Line Bettors.

D

Dealer: The person that oversees the game. This is more applicable in real life Craps than it is in online Craps as online Craps is controlled by the computer and Random Number Generators.

Dice: The two numbered cubes that are thrown by the Shooter to determine the outcome of the game.

Don't Come Bet: This is a bet placed after the Come Out Roll. It is the opposite of the Come Bet and is betting on the shooter rolling a 7 before establishing a point.

Don't Come Box: This is the area on the Craps table where the Don't Come Bets are placed.

Don't Pass: This is the opposite of the Pass bet and is made before the Come Out Roll. It wins if the shooter throws a 2 or 3 or pushes on 12. After the Point is established, this bet wins if a 7 is rolled.

Double Odds: This is a Free Odds Bet that doubles the first Pass Line, Don't Pass Line, Come, and Don't Come bets.

Easy Way: A term used if the shooter throws a 4, 6, 8, or 10 with each die showing a different number. For example 3 & 1 or 6 & 4.

Edge: This is a term used to describe the advantage that the house has over the player.

Even Money: A term used to describe a 1:1 payout.

Field Bet: A bet on the next roll resulting in a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12.

Fire Bet: This is a bet on a shooter setting and hitting a variety of different Points during their turn. It is not available at all online casinos.

Five Times Odds: Free odds placed at five times the original wager.

Free Odds Bet: A term for the Pass, Don't Pass, Come, and Don't Come Bets. It is placed after the Come Out Roll.

Front Line: This is the area on the table where the Pass Line bet is placed. It is also known as the Pass Line.

Hardway: A term used for the number rolled being a double. For example: Snake Eyes (1 & 1), 4 (2 & 2), 6 (3 & 3), etc.

Hi-Lo: This is a bet on the next roll resulting in a 2 or 12.

High Point Craps: A variation of Craps. For more information see Craps Games Online.

Hope Bet: This is a bet on a specific number combination on the dice.

Hoping Hardway: This is placing a Hope Bet on the number combination being a Hardway such as 2 & 2 or 3 & 3.

Horn Bet: This is a bet on the roll resulting in a 2, 3, 11, and 12.

Horn High Bet: This is a bet on 2, 3, 11, and 12 with double points on 12 and one point on 2, 3, and 11.

House Advantage: This is the edge that the casino has over the player. Also known as the 'Edge' or 'House Edge'.

Inside Numbers: 5, 6, 8, and 9.

Insurance Bet: This is a number of bets made to partially cover one another.

Lay Bet: This is a bet on the shooter throwing a 7 before the Point is established. Losing bettors will pay a 5% commission.

Layout: This is the pattern printed on the Craps table that shows all of the different wagers.

Line Bets: A term used for the Pass Line and Don't Pass bets.

Marker Puck: This is a small round disc that marks when the Point has been established. It will say 'On' when the point has been established, and 'Off' when the point has not been established.

Multi-roll Bets: These are bets that stay valid through a series of rolls.

Natural: A term used to describe rolling a 7 or 11 on the Come Out Roll.

Off Button: Another term for the Marker Puck when it is showing that the Point has not been established.

On Button: Another term for the Marker Puck when it is showing that the Point has been established.

Outside Numbers: A term used for 4, 5, 9, and 10 when placing a bet.

P

Parley: A term used for allowing a bet to ride.

Pass Line: The area on the table where Pass Line Bets are placed.

Pass Line Bet: This is a bet placed on the shooter throwing a 7 or 11 on the Come Out Roll. It is the most basic Craps bet.

Payout: A term for the amount of money a player wins on any bet.

Place Bet: A bet on a Place Number bring rolled before a 7.

Place Numbers: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10.

Playing the Field: A bet on the shooter throwing a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12.

Point: A 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 thrown on the Come Out Roll.

Player: This is the person throwing the dice. Also known as the Shooter.

Proposition Bets: A term for Hardway bets and all 'one-roll' bets placed in the center of the table.

Right: A term used for the Pass bet.

Seven Out: A term used to describe when the Shooter throws a 7 after establishing the point, but before throwing the Point. This ends the Shooter's turn.

Shoot: The act of throwing the dice in a game of Craps.

Shooter: The person throwing the dice is known as the Shooter.

Snake Eyes: A term used to describe each die landing on 1 and 1.

Strategy: A system used when betting that is meant to cut down on the House Advantage and ensure more success at the Craps table.

Street Craps: A variation of the game of Craps that is played on the streets in which players compete against one another.

System: Also known as a Strategy, this is a system of betting that is meant to help the player have more success at the Craps table.

Take the Odds: A Free odds bet as a Right bettor.

Ten-Times Odds: A Free Odds bet at ten times the original wager.

Triple Odds: A Free Odds bet at three times the original wager.

True Odds: The odds on any bet on the Craps table.
