This is a Craps game that differs slightly from standard Bank Craps. It is largely played on the east coast of the United States and parts of the UK, Yugoslavia, and the Bahamas.
This version of Craps is played much the same as standard Craps, though there are a couple of differences. The first is the fact that the layout has been changed. This altered Craps table is known as a double-end-dealer. This means that there is a dealer working at both ends of the table with the stickman standing toward the middle of the table. There are also two boxmen standing on the opposite side of the stickman. Many casinos will also have a lookout/ladderman sitting in a raised seat near the table to overlook all of the action.
In addition to having a different table and layout, this Craps game has some differences when it comes to the wagering. For starters, it does not offer the Come or Don't Come bet. Also, place bets are not allowed. All players must play on the box numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10. This Craps game offers slightly worse odds than standard online Craps, and it allows the house to take 5% on all right bets.
Other than these differences, New York Craps is played just the same as a standard game of Bank Craps. There is a shooter to throw the dice while other players place their bets.
